to leave our tree up through Valentines Day. I love seeing it in the corner and want it there to look all beautiful in our living room still. It may seem goofy to some, but that's alright. I want a refreshing look!

Even though
Christmas is "over" it is not for me. Never is. Here are two songs that STILL and WILL EVER stir my soul, my heart, my spirit. Both I was prompted to sing at church this year. Even though I can't enjoy them on my blog (computer difficulties) here they are for YOU. And I hope they bless you as they have me....

Unedited, but fun anyways
I can't believe I haven't put pics on here lately! Oopsie! So, this is Uncle Bill, with Ella on the left, and Abigail on the right. Taken a few weeks ago, actually (maybe at Thanksgiving?!?!?)

Morning til Night
on Christmas Day was truly wonderful (except when Philip pulled down the tree). We had extra special guests for the brunch at our house...everyone as usual plus my mom's brother and his wife. It was really nice. I got to decorate our house a bit more on Christmas Eve (well the daytime Christmas Eve) and even, get this, started and 1/2 way finished a really neat BELIEVE chipboard scrapbook album! It's coming together nicely. If I weren't too lazy I'd be pulling the pics off my camera but I have to admit, fibromyalgia has just got me this time around. I am still recouping. I have pics from Ella's school program yet to get off my camera too! Oh my goodness. I am sooo slow with that. Anyways, I loved my gifts..I felt very blessed. By my husband, even from Ella..my sister in law made me this equisite bag set and then my parents just overloaded my gift package too...and wow, is it surely appreciated. I did use part of my gift from them (a Joanns gift card---yeah!!!!!!!!) and picked up some items, a few things to help me with my Etsy shop and then a couple of magazines that are soooo inspiring I am absolutely jaw-dropping in awe of these artists. One is Home Companion. I have subscribed to this before, but find that just picking it up here and there, maybe with a 40% off coupon is a little cheaper than a subscription. The other, is Stampington and Company's Somerset Studio...this is a sister magazine to the one I am being published in (Life Images, should be out Jan1st, but the way!!). A lot of cool things in there! I have been so inspired and hope to get some energy again to craft like I want to. I am slightly behind on my Etsy schedule.
Today, My dad took me out to lunch. I loved this time. It was wonderful. We actually went to the new tea room I talked about earlier this month that Philip and I one day stumbled upon. It was a wonderful lunch and we discussed our Secret Project and was confirmed about it later in several ways....which was a wonderful thing as well. Dad and I used to have Father-Daughter dates, and I so appreciate the thoughtfulness he had for me today.
I had a little bit of time, also, with my friend Katie and her daughter Autumn. She's so adorable, and is always excited to see me (yes, this makes my heart very glad!). I can't think, though, that their time left in this area is running out. :-( Sniff Sniff.
I didn't get to the post office....I am sooo sorry Jen. I can't put it together to get there. I don't know why. There must be a reason. Maybe something else needs to be put in the package LOL!!!! You never know!
But, honestly, though there were many blessings of the day, I was emotional and wiped out. Not fun. Not at all. Spent many tears, and just didn't feel on top of things.
Luckily, the kids are settled down, and I found those "important" items earlier today. AND, I have an inspired mind. for me, that's great.

If I were all together
I wouldn't lose things.
A nice small scrapbook frame from my wonderful husband as well as a nice gift card to go out to eat, also from him. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo upset about this. If you think about, please pray I find things. I am not below looking in trash..which I already did. I also looked in my stocking and didn't find those things but did find a pack of gum I somehow didn't realize he gave me. Yes..that's how I work.
On to other things, I will recap Christmas later, but I am so tired and emotional today, I need a nap as soon as Rich gets home.
UPDATE: I found them, plus the candybar he gave me....allllll right where I put them. Oh brother.

O Christmas Tree...(start singing!)
O Christmas Tree, How lovely were your branches
Until Philip took you down
Bulbs broke, the parents' frowned
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...
DO you think you want to be put up again next year (or stay safe in the box?)

BRinging BACk MeMORiEs
Awwww Ella sang so well last night. I admit though....I bribed her with a present!LOL! She did so well though, whether or not that was the main thing on her mind, motions and voice and all. She made us really proud. I cried so much watching her, it just touched my heart. I was sitting kind of behind the director, so she'd look right at me and smile and wink. Too cute. I think that helped too, indirectly being another director. I was reminded, during this Christmas play, of my own growing up, and also just singing in choir in general, or my old church choir, choir in high school, singing with girlfriends at church, handbell choir, and my favorite choir director ever, Dan. So, yes, tears were many, and I am just delighted she did so well for her first FULL Christmas play. Sunday morning I was told (I didn't go to church) she didn't sing during the special, well, as that was the 4 year old theme! In just a few hours we'll leave for the evening activities. I hope to set the table for the morning before I go, just right before. So, I have that out of the way. I STILL have a few gifts to wrap but Rich may have to do that! Then, whew..I am not even going to begin to think of how we are going to get these children off to bed tonight. We'll probably be at grams until 9 so we'll see. long evening coming up. Early morning, at 6 am for me. Then everyone's here at 8:30 (yikes!) and then we go to my mom and dad's in the afternoon, to see Bill, Lisa, Abigail, and CLIFFORD. YES! You read that right! Clifford will be there. Now, Rich never met Clifford yet, and I think that after he does he'll want to get a dog NOW. Clifford is a retriever, and is just fantastic with kids. Buddy loves him so much. I laugh because Abby treats him like a sibling, not a dog! CHuckle chuckle...my kids treat Kodak like a stuffed cat (not very well!) HA!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sweeties
That's what I have, although this day was tough. It was tough last night too. I was overly emotional about some things, so today I was trying NOT to be. One thing seemed silly but it made me so mad....Walmart cashier would not take my Polly Pocket coupon (they had already before) and that really disgusted me to no end. The other pollys I got I gave to a needy child..this was the ONLY one I was getting for my own daughter!
So, tonight, when Rich went to Walmart, I sent thecoupon with HIM, and hopefully when he comes back he has the toy I wanted for Ella. No way am I traveling up to Target, so I hope a different cashier does what is RIGHT. ETA: well, it didn't go well for him, either. I am so disappointed....really. I guess it seems trivial (especially since we have a member of Rich's family in the hospital, in an emergency situation right now), but I really wanted that blue/winter themed Polly Pocket with dark haired girl set for Ella. I can't justify spending full price now, especially since now that I wrapped all the girlie's gifts, she's making out like a bandit. Luckily, my mother has a few other gifts she had picked up for Buddy that we are going to give him instead, since she had more than she thought! LOL! I guess it works out. I have to hold back on some items...I'll blame it on Once Again Kids...I found too many things with a great price for Ella!
Anyways, I have a house to clean and presents to finish wrapping. Tomorrow night is Ella's Christmas Musical at church! Monday night is a wonderful Christmas Eve service, and then off to Great Gram's for snacks and presents! THEN, Christmas Day we have brunch here, then dinner at my parents, with my brother and sister in law, and Abigail.
A busy couple of days coming up, like most people's holiday rush. My honey did so good today, too..he went to a local store that had very nice scrapbooking stuff 50% off their holiday collections, and picked me up some paper for my (must have) stocking...yeah! I was so proud of him. He really did good...stretching himself, getting himself out of his comfort zone for me this year, even for my birthday (picking out jewelry!!). Yes..I HAVE TO HAVE a stocking. I feel really bad if there's no thought into it...like, well, one year (I think the first year we were married). He knew after that year! LOL!
Merry Christmas everyone.

Excerpt from the little childrens book..
This little old book from This and That (the most wonderful storein the world) has so many gems. I blogged one the other day. Here is another...

Hark!
I shall never eat anyone else's cookies ever again...except for Kimmy's! Delish!!! I also got a tea cup candle that smells heavenly! THANK YOU!
Ella's artwork shall someday be known worldwide....Rudolph in a Snowstorm. Just imagine what that looks like. The one closest to the answer gets, um, well, nothing. Sorry! But guess anyways!
Her preschool program was today, and she was wonderful. One of her little friends though takes the cake with the biggest singing voice...it was so cute and funny! Great Gram and Pa, Grandpa Snyder, and then Mommy and Buddy came as well. She got the cutest Littlest Pet Shoppe gift from her teacher. I love how the teachers give the kids all something! We gave them a "warm" gift: each (1 teacher and 2 assistants) received one pretty scarf, some chex mix, soup in hand, and then select soup..all, as you can imagine, wonderful finds from my couponing!
As for that blog challenge Kimmy has, I am really struggling with what to do. I have no idea. I just don't. I mean, I think I do, but it could end up really stupid! LOL! I don't have much longer to decide....
I need to get a pillow for Rich for Christmas to replace the ancient one he has, and the one he has is a little more than I thought. Bummer. I hope if I try Kohl's tomorrow it'll be on sale. If not, no pillow..and I am praying praying praying that his music order arrives by Christmas Eve! It doesn't look too good! I feel so bad. I said, honey, if your presents don't make it under the tree, neither do mine then. I would not feel right.
Anyways, we have a different plan for the eve and Christmas Day this year..kind of shakes things up a bit, but that's good.
I took chocolates (lots of them) to my favorite store (Once Again Kids) this weeek, along with our Christmas card (which, I forgot to tell them, the kids are wearing outfits I purchased from themHA!), and today we got the sweetest card back from them. It touched me truly to tears. They put up with a lot with me and my kids when we come in (which is often I confess). Umm...last time, I picked up the LAST layaway of the year, and HAD to do another one! LOL! Though this one is actually (unbelievably) all for Ella's birthday!!! A Pet Shoppe Playground with all these pet shoppe pets, a wonderful mini dresser for dolls, or whatever, maybe for little polly pocket clothes, and also the prettiest My Little Pony, with hair accessories! Oh, and two stylish belts for her too. Total, with tax, is $29. Thus, her birthday gifts. I am so excited! She doesn't have anything like that My Little Pony! It's big!

Cookies
My dear friend, Kimmy, is bringing me a plateful of yummy cookies tomorrow! In return, she gets a Christmas Card and a coupon for coffee. LOL! Just kidding...I'd give those to her anyways. BUT, I am very very very honored that our family is going to be eating her delicious treats this Christmas. Someday, I know she'll be famous!

Catching up..
I personally have taken great delight in the "fiercesome" weather....snow. It was tough to travel last night when we went to celebrate the wonderful Christmas day a bit early for Rich's side of the family. A lot of prayer went up for safety. Today, I felt so warm and Blessed to have a small cozy house and the family to enjoy just being together with..and looking outside at the beautiful white glittery rain.
Friday, my dear grandparents baked a cake for me, with lots of help from Ella and Philip. It was the BEST Birthday (a little late) cake ever, I am certain. So extremely special. The kids were so excited. Spice Cake. Yum. They even had 28 candles, and lots of icing and other colored sprinkles on it.
I have lots to do in order to get an Etsy shoppe open after the New Year, but I plan on keeping up with the idea. My sister in law and I have had sooo much fun delighting in various creative ideas and finds....we enjoy that in common! I had some neat small treasure hunts in a downtown antique area recently (well a couple of downtown antique areas) and hope to share those pictures with you another day..as well as another website I am working on. Photography won't go away..just another avenue for it. I am thinking when the spring and summer come again, I'll do some photoshoots, but we shall see.
The church service this morning was extremely blessed....Rich and I are both thanking the Lord for the family we have there.....brothers and sisters in the Lord!

I found out today that a tea shoppe
in Columbiana exists, AGAIN!Yeah!
I hope, hint hint, that some girls (yeah, Kimmy, didn't we just talk about this?) can go out for tea. It's such a nice setting inside. The tree right in the window has all these vintage ornaments I would love to have in my own home!
The menu is just right.
The owner is very nice.
And my little son liked it inside too!

This Day
Is special. My honey is home, but now he is out with his buddy, Joe. SO that's good, because he doesn't get out much like that. I am glad he has some time. The kids and I played scrabble this morning. And we didn't keep score. They so enjoyed that. We actually played real words, unlike last night, like Kevin and Kimmy (especially Kimmy) who thought that playing "Dog" would make her special and win the entire game. Too bad that I won...NOT....I had half her score I think...rolling on floor laughing soooo much my stomach hurts!!!! Oh, oops...Richie played "Dog", not Kimmy. I think he was holding back on us last night.
Today, I have to say that my grocery trip was extra special too! We had a gift card from Rich's work (they give it out to employees every year) and, including that, I had about a 65% savings! Lipton Vanilla Tea (usually over $2) was 90 cents (and I got 2 boxes!). I got 7 packages of free veggies, plus four more for $2 (I had lots of coupons that would make veggies 2/$1 but decided not to do that). Hm.....pizza roll boxes, 4 for .80 total. And some cookie mixes and frosting containers, 50 each. I could've gotten about 5 more cookie mixes, but we really don't make cookies too much, so I didn't use those. And cans of broth..just cheap! This savings was along with some couponed 4 cracker boxes and 4 cup in hand soups. And then basics like peanut butter (natural kind), sugar, apples, bananas, bread (2 loaves), and milk. $26.88. Very happy!

New Project
I have decided, after much thought and prayer, to retire my photography for the time being. I am no longer doing photographs for anyone but myself. Probably in the summer I'll do a bit, maybe late spring even, but until further notice, I will not be making appointments.
There are new things in the wings..and, of course, old...such as my wonderful family. With some inspiration from my sister in law, Lisa, and welcome encouragement from my husband, grandma, and parents, I feel like I need to embrace some new and old creativity aspirations...including sewing, and scrapbooking..and writing. I am finding that Etsy is a great place to spread your wings...and fly. My tentative store name, for things such as photographs (non people ones and of other artistic nature), fabric bracelets, original stationary, altered items (books, i.e.), vintage creations, and such, will be Bethink. It's a true word, and I just came upon it today in my searching.
Anyways, there it is, a plan . I hope to have more time with my family, less stress on myself, and the enjoyment of making things that are unique, old, and special. As well as just taking the time to take pictures that I want to take...and that includes MANY of my children.

Psalm 18:30
"As for God, His way is perfect."
Here is an excerpt that is from an old children's book:
One day I saw a blind boy flying a kite. On his face was an indescribable light of gladness. I wondered how kite flying could be so entertaining to a poor blind lad. So I said to him, "See here, Laddie, how is it you enjoy flying a kite when you can't see it up in the air?"
The blind boy said, "No, I can't see it in the air, but I can feel the tug!"
And so it is in the Christian life. Many times we cannot see the way ahead very clearly. But we can feel the tug of God's love leading us on in His will.

All is Well
I am sitting here, with some pumpkin spice tea that I got from my friend Jen for my birthday, listening to the Point of Grace Winter Wonderland CD. Thanks to my mom, I am able to listen to it for a little while. I love it. This song, All is Well, has always been one of my favorites. Michael W. Smith did it a long time ago, on his first ever Christmas CD. Also, on this cd is another one of my favorite songs.
Breath of Heaven.
Christmas Eve is coming up, and I am torn between that song, and then another POG song called Emmanuel, God With Us (not to be confused with Amy Grant's version).
I hope the Spirit leads me. And, maybe, it won't be to either of these songs.
The song Breath of Heaven has always been one I have loved....I think even, before I was married I sang that song at Old North. What a dramatic song in such whispering tones and notes and words. A song that springs forth a wonderment.
Emmanuel God With Us is a song that point you to the hearts of other people...and reminds you that no on shall be lonely any longer, for He is Emmanuel. God With Us. God With Us.
GOD with US.
How can we continue to forget that? He is here..and as our worship leader at church said...God gave us a gift under the Tree...we just have to come and take it.

Hip Hip Hooray for Coupon Boards
I just got a deal for Ella for one of her "grandma" Christmas presents! If you don't look for deals, you need to now. This certain electronic device was $10 off normal shop prices, and also shipped for free!!!
One deal I was able to complete a few weeks back for gifts for other people (wish It were for me!): Victorias Secret Sweater, Lip Gloss, Pom Pom Scarf, and LipStick Kit (this alone was $20+), with $5 off coupon code...for the price of the sweater ($19). Yes....these things do exist.
Another deal, well, food-wise: I probably annoyed the cashier, but I did 4 different transactions of 3 cereals each...so I paid $16.08 for 12 boxes of Chex Cereal. I plan on getting a rain check tomorrow since I took the last ones (gulp!) and forgot to get the rain check, and further more, this store hardly stock their shelves anyways. I have about 5 more coupons to use for this cereal. Then, no more cereal shopping for quite awhile, I think. But, really, those boxes will FLY right out of here...we are a family that EATS cereal!!!!!
I am also very happy I am me...scatterbrained me....I found an old set of coupons, and one coupon is for the Bisquick Shake and Pours, which I had gotten several (6) free the last time. I think I'll be able to use this one soon, hopefully before it expires.

Maybe someday
I'll share what God brought to pass for me this pass weekend.
It was confirmation, but yet I am a bit scared and delighted at the same time. Delighted that prayer was answered. Scared that we never know the future. My husband? Steady as steady can be. And then, my own weakness and faults of my emotional/sensitive persona gets the best of me. Somedays, like today, I know I don't have "vision," like my friend, Jennifer commented I may have. I feel like not doing as much creatively (and this is really not what this post is about, but that's an example). I am thinking, perhaps, that after you have a "spiritual high", Satan can snatch joy away from you and that is what happened several times today. It's hard to "step back" and notice that. But, with the scripture that was brought to my attention by the Holy Spirit, and then confirmed by a variety of ways, you know God is really working. And you have seen prayers answered already. Why not continue to trust in Him? We don't get out of our own way, as I recently heard someone say. I am praying that God takes me by the hand, even carries me, through what I know will be a total trusting time, and growing time, and will form me into the Godly Woman HE wants me to be. I am so thankful for my family, and my wonderful, dear, and devoted Husband.

Best of..
Best song of the day....Rich's classical medley that he played at our program for the AARP of Canfield....Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and William Tell Overture (brought down the house)
Best play times of the day....with great grandma and great grandpa while mommy and daddy were away...also with grandma and grandpa, while mommy and daddy were away (again)...and finally...all over the yard at night after the snow covered the ground quite well
Best verse of the day...Psalm 46:10 "Be Still and Know That I Am God." I can surely do the "be still" party, but the knowing part is sometimes difficult.
Best time of the day for me....my bday dinner with Rich...early, but we had to last minute get it in (at one of my favorite places, Red Lobster..and yes, I did not go without a coupon to use! LOL!).
Best verse Number 2: Nehemiah 6:16 (and the whole entire passage of Nehemiah rebuilding the wall...)...."they realized that this work has been done with the help of our God."
Best of days...each day.

Cause of no sleep
I think I figured it out...with help of someone at church. This juice/supplement I am taking at night..well I should be taking it earlier in the day! It's probably giving me the energy at night, and thus, well, no sleep. WHEW!
I was reminded today of some children funnies.
Here are some words Ella said wrong (and sometimes still does)...Forsey (horsey)....
Christam Tree (Christmas Tree)
Philip's versions of words: Tooti (Tookie--Cookie)
Oh and then some animal names. My favorite, the classic, after we changed Ella's room a few weeks ago. She named a unicorn in her story Changey-Roomy.
CHANGEY-Roomy the Unicorn! CRACKS ME UP!
Can't forget these precious horses...Cider, Sprinkle Diamond Heart, Cider, Cider, Cider, and well, oh let's not forget Cider.
LOL!

I don't plan on keeping wee hours of the night
I don't plan on getting up in the middle of the night.
I plan on sleeping.
I will sleep.
I sleep.
Sleep.
That's my new motto.
Today, we had a nice family day. Some grocery shopping, movies, oranges, and sewing (on my grandma's machine until I see Sam this week!!!!!!! Yeah!!!).
Also, Rich and I practiced for Monday's gig.
We had a nice visit from my dad, who brought some goodies I had found somewhere, a few photo props.
Oh, I hope the freezing rain is not bad...so we can travel, and everyone else, too, to church without any reservations.
I am now, since the girl's night out at a friend's house, hooked on cilantro.

Look at the Time
!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what is really going on with me these days..I've been terribly tired and having insomnia again. The repurcussions after that, the next day, aren't too good, and I think I am saying this to ask for prayer!
My poor husband...we have to play on Monday at A La Carte in Canfield for the AARP, and we are semi-practiced up. My fault.
The laundry is piling up, as far as clean stuff to put away....My fault.
Clutter IS building up..my fault. I can't seem to cut it out this month.
Excuse my venting, but this does help, to blog about it.
Tomorrow, I hope to accomplish a little from my list earlier this week, such as having Ella dust, maybe ONE basket put away, and a scrapbook page. I have my grandma's machine on loan until I meet with Sam and his wife to get my "new" used one! That has made me on cloud nine! I am going to make a bracelet and use the machine on my scrapbook page (fingers crossed now, I hope this gets done!). And theother major things: practice practice practice. and also, finish the photo order I need to. I was yesterday, but then realized it didn't matter if I'd order yesterday, or Sunday night, with the online store's hours. So, I thought better for me, so I can get a photograph changed for the one person, with selective coloring, a little more relaxed. As far as what I have accomplished from my list? Phone calls to friends (just two though...I had one more!!) and reading..I have read four books. And I did put laundry away earlier this week, too.
On to something else....my little girl is just so beautiful. Biased, you say......naww......I cuddled up lots with her today. She put on pjs that I had gotten for her from O. Again Kids. They had penguins and were flannel...so soft and cuddly. She's so cute to talk to, but I feel bad when Buddy riles her up.
Philip is learning to stretch, well, me (and his big sister!), and push buttons! He is a sweetheart though. I love his little voice. And putting my head on his warm, blonde one when he DEMANDS I sit with him when he wakes up and we are on the couch for our morning routine of sitting together. He also is prone to stealing the whipped cream from the fridge and eating it. He is also apt to snitch cookies. Oh. One more thing....he also takes a chair over to the counter so he can climb up and takethe marshmallows that I just bought this week. What a little stinker I tell ya!
But you have to laugh...you just do...he's so determined...yet oblivious that that's bad...well, maybe not oblivious....and he gets in trouble...but seems to think that the cream and marshmallows are just for him, time after time!
